- Memorial Giving
Many friends of Hospice give donations when a loved one or friend dies. People often choose memorial contributions as a way to commemorate the birthday or anniversary of a loved one annually. One of the most meaningful ways to support Hospice is by designating Hospice of North Central Ohio as the beneficiary of memorials when a loved one dies. By suggesting in the obituary that contributions be made to Hospice, family members and friends know they are supporting important work close to the family of the deceased. Most funeral homes have envelopes available for this purpose.

- Gifts in Honor Of
A gift "in honor of" someone special gives you the opportunity to express your love and respect for a family member, friend or business associate. This is a meaningful way to observe a birthday, anniversary, retirement or professional achievement in lieu of or addition to a gift. It is also a way to say "thank you" for someone's kindness or special care, or to express concern when someone is ill.

- Appreciated Property
Popular alternatives to cash are gifts of appreciated property such as securities and real estate. These gifts can provide even greater tax benefits to the donor than an equivalent gift of cash, especially when the appreciated property has been held more than one year.
